In My Mailbox {55} & New on My Nook

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren, where we all share what we got during the week!

Here's my fun stuff for the week! Made a little trip down to Half-Price books and found the first two...and one from the library!
Bought:
The Locket by Stacey Jay
This one sounded like it had a cute second-chances, time travel thing going on so I decided to check it out. :)

Blessed by Cynthia Leitich Smith
I read Eternal and really enjoyed it. I'm not sure if I need to read Tantalize also before I dig into this one...anyone know? Will I be completely lost if I don't?

Library:
Swoon by Nina Malkin
I've heard such mixed reviews on this one, I decided I have to try it out and see for myself! It seems to be one of those that people either love or they hate. So we'll see!

New on my Nook:

From Netgalley:
The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
Love all the goddess themed books coming out this year!

A Long, Long Sleep by Anna Sheehan
Always up for a good fairy-tale retelling!

Here's what's coming up this week on Stories & Sweeties!!
~Reviews of Demonglass & Dark Mirror
~Giveaway announcements for all three contest currently running (check the top right corner for those!)

  4. I really want to read The Goddess Test! I've always been fascinated by that particular Greek myth.

I look forward to hearing what you think of Demonglass. I loved it and thought it was better than Hex Hall.

  5. I really want to read The Goddess Test. I love that cover too. I also just got Blessed, but never read the first two in the series. Do you think I should or can it be read as a stand alone? Enjoy all your books!

  8. I've read Tantalize and yes, you probably should read it before Blessed since the opening from it is literally RIGHT where Tantalize ends. Zachary's in the third book too but Quincie's the narrator for that one :)

I have seen The Goddess Test everywhere! It looks really good (and the cover is sooo pretty). I hope you enjoy all your books. Happy reading!

What kind of reader are you?
    The Book Whore
Your a collector. You buy and buy (or borrow) books like your life depends on it. Your constantly broke and have a book on you at all times. Your running out of bookshelf space and your always reading a book. Sometime more than one! Your never without, whether at dinner, at work, hanging with friends, etc. You even have an emergency book stashed in your car! You want to read any and all books as possible.

    The Book Tease
You try and try, but can never finish, or in some cases start a book. But it looks so dang pretty as a shelf ornament. You buy books that sound interesting, but when it comes down to it, you'd rather do something else with your time. You love books, but hate reading. The next time you decide to buy a book, just save your money because you know you'll never read it.

    The Committer
You read. You enjoy reading. But you can never find that one AWESOME book that you've read before. So instead of trying to find a book just as good, you'll read that awesome book over and over until you've worn it out to the spine. You love that book so much you feel like a cheater when you find another book that's just as awesome.
